Chocolate Banana Bread Recipe

June 18, 2015

Don’t you hate it when you want to cook something yummy and you look for recipes and all the ingredients are not even available in your country(if you even know what all of them are)? Yeah, me too. That’s why I’m giving you one of my all time favorite recipes with all of the ingredients available in your local grocery store and you don’t even have to know your way around to kitchen to do it.

– 3 ripe bananas
-1/3 cup of melted butter
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1 cup of sugar(brown or regular, doesn’t matter)
– 1 egg, beaten
– 1 1/4 cup of all purpose flower
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
-1 chocolate bar(100 g) cut into small bits
-1/3 cup of natural unsweetened cocoa powder
-1 1/2 spoons of baking soda
-baking paper
-1 12×22 cm loaf pan

 Step by step:

First things first: Place the baking paper into the pan and preheat the oven to 180 c.

Melt the butter and beat the egg.

Blend(or use a food processor or a fork) the peeled ripe bananas until smooth and place it in a large mixing bowl. Stir it in with the melted butter, brown sugar and salt. Once mixed all together add the vanilla extract as well as the beaten egg.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa, flower and  baking soda. After you finish, add the mixture to the banana mix bowl and stir it untill there are no lumps, then add the chocolate.

After you’re done, pour it in the loaf pan. Bake it for 40 minutes in 180 °C oven. You can test if it’s done by gently pushing the center top of the chocolate banana bread down with your finger and if it’s firm and bounces back it means it’s done.

When you remove it from the oven, let it cool for 5 minutes, then it’s ready to be cut and served. Enjoy! xx
